Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Handle reservation management with precision, ensuring accurate booking records and timely updates.
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort and satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with guests via phone, practicing professional phone etiquette to answer inquiries and confirm reservations.
• Assist with guest services by providing menus, answering questions about the menu, and addressing special requests or concerns promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring all tools and materials are stocked and accessible.
• Support food safety standards by adhering to proper hygiene practices when handling menus or interacting with guests.

Experience

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills, including clear phone communication and excellent guest relations abilities, are essential.
• Demonstrated organizational skills to manage reservations, seating flow, and guest inquiries efficiently.
• Basic math skills for handling waitlist calculations and table management tasks accurately.
• Experience with food service operations or restaurant experience is a plus, providing insight into food safety protocols and hospitality standards.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining positive guest interactions.
