Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of menu items following established recipes and presentation standards
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other culinary tools
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety regulations
• Assist in menu planning and food preparation to ensure timely service during busy periods
• Follow food handling procedures to uphold safety standards and prevent cross-contamination
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and address any issues promptly

Requirements

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within restaurants or food industry settings
• Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient portioning
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments
• Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes
• Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and team members
