Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals following established recipes and dietary guidelines
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other culinary tools
• Assist with menu planning by suggesting seasonal or special dish ideas to enhance offerings
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen areas in compliance with food safety standards
• Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling techniques, including slicing, portioning, and storage

Requirements

• Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting
• Strong knowledge of safety standards in production, food handling, and sanitation practices
• Demonstrated culinary experience with excellent knife skills and slicing techniques
• Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation procedures
• Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and effectively
• Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and team members
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
