Governor’s Lodge Resort on Norfolk Island are seeking personalities who are passionate about delivering memorable guest experiences. The resort has 55 cabins and 3 on-site dining venues- The Lounge Bar & Cafe, The Boatshed, and our premier a la carte restaurant Bailey's. Plus one off-site casual dining venue- Moffy's Pizza & Pasta. We are looking for an energetic, driven Cook to join our kitchen team.

Duties include:

• Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within the speciality section

• Assisting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes

• Preparing meat and fish

• Assisting with the management of health and safety

• Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices

• Monitoring portion and waste control

• Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards

About you:

• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role within a hotel environment

• Excellent presentation and impeccable grooming standards

• Great communication skills

• High level of attention to detail

• Ability to work without close supervision

• Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes

• Enthusiasm to develop your own skills and knowledge plus those around you

• Positive and approachable manner

• Team player qualities
