As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals that meet our residents expectations while contributing to a positive dining experience.

Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
• Assist in meal preparation and ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are met.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and manage inventory effectively.
• Monitor food quality during preparation and cooking processes, making adjustments as necessary.
• Assist with training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.

Skills

• Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a carehome setting.
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Strong communication skills to work collaboratively within a team.
• A passion for cooking and creativity in meal presentation.
