Cook

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Duties:

• Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with established recipes and standards

• Ensure food quality and presentation meet company standards

• Monitor food levels and replenish supplies as needed

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area

• Properly take and monitor food temps

• Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries

• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation

• Read and understand a menu, which items to pull and when to pull them

• Manage storage rotation in fridgerator and freezer

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Cook in the food industry, perferred Healthcare setting.

• Knowledge of food safety guidelines and procedures

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Food Handlers Card

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience in a restaurant, or dietary department
• Familiarity with dietary aide duties
