Sunset Grill Cornwall is currently looking for a dependable and motivated Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our team. We serve breakfast in a fast-paced environment, and we need someone who can keep up with the morning rush while making sure our food is prepared properly and our kitchen stays organized.

Job Details

• Position: Line Cook / Prep Cook
• Employment Type: Part-Time / Full-Time
• Work Schedule: Early morning and daytime shifts
• Location: Cornwall, Ontario
• Availability: Must be available to work weekends and holidays

Main Duties

• Prepare ingredients and complete daily kitchen prep before service.
• Cook breakfast dishes according to our menu, recipes, and preparation standards.
• Make sure your station is ready, stocked, and organized for service.
• Prepare orders accurately and efficiently, especially during busy periods.
• Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and presentation.
• Keep communication clear with other kitchen staff and servers.
• Clean workstations, cooking equipment, and kitchen surfaces throughout the day.
• Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen cleanup when necessary.
• Help organize incoming deliveries and store ingredients properly.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation requirements.
• Complete assigned opening, closing, and cleaning tasks.
• Help teammates with other duties whenever needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen is preferred but not essential.
• Experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, Breakfast Cook, Grill Cook, or Kitchen Helper is an asset.
• Basic understanding of food preparation and cooking.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistent food quality.
• Comfortable working in a busy kitchen with multiple orders.
• Good communication skills and a cooperative attitude.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to take responsibility.
• Able to stand for extended periods and handle the physical demands of kitchen work.
• Available for early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays.
