Cook/ Dietary Aide

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing delicious meals that meet our residents expectations while ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment. Flexibility to work as Dietary Aide at times.

Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
• Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
• Assist in menu planning and development, including catering options for special events.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and high-quality presentation.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
• Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation, ensuring efficiency and safety in the kitchen.
• Adhere to dietary guidelines when preparing meals for specific dietary needs.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Cook and Dietary Aide is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and safety protocols.
• Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
• A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
