Cook Helper

About the Role

PISON Group is seeking a hardworking, responsible, and detail-oriented Cook Helper to join our culinary team in Bali. In this role, you will support daily kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and following food safety standards.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assist with preparing ingredients such as washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning
• Support cooks and kitchen team with daily food preparation and mise en place
• Prepare ingredients according to recipes and kitchen requirements
• Assist with basic cooking tasks under the guidance of the Cook or Chef
• Ensure ingredients are properly stored, labeled, and handled
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work station
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
• Follow FIFO, hygiene, sanitation, and food safety procedures
• Assist with receiving and organizing kitchen supplies when required
• Help monitor and minimize food waste
• Restock ingredients and supplies as needed
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
• Assist with daily kitchen opening and closing duties
• Perform other operational duties as assigned by the Chef or Manager

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Cook Helper, Kitchen Helper, Commis, or in a similar role is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
• Basic understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety
• Ability to follow instructions and work according to kitchen standards
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods
• Responsible, disciplined, and well-organized
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
• Passion for working in a kitchen environment
