Mission Resort + Club is seeking aCook I to join our team! Located in the rolling hills of Lake County, the award-winning, Mission Resort features deluxe accommodations, four distinct restaurants, two 18-hole championship golf courses, a luxury spa, and a wide range of recreational activities. We pride ourselves on delivering superior service and unrivaled hospitality.

As part of MMI Hotel Group, a company with over 69 years of experience in the industry, We are looking for a motivated and service-oriented team member to join our golf operations team and help create an exceptional experience for members, resort guests, and public players. This position requires developing knowledge of all menu items, completing opening and closing duties as needed, and maintaining a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

We are currently seeking a Cook I for our restaurants Conquistador and The Grove House. This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional dining experience by preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes that meet our high standards for quality, consistency, and taste. The Cook I works in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining food safety, sanitation, and quality standards, and collaborates closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes
• Complete opening and closing duties, including station setup and breakdown
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health code regulations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to support smooth and timely service
• Assist with food preparation, inventory rotation, and proper storage procedures
• Support team members during high-volume service periods

Qualifications

• Previous cooking or line cook experience preferred
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
