Cook / Line Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook / Line Operator to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the food industry. This role requires a deep understanding of food safety standards and the ability to prepare high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all food safety protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new recipes and menu items.
• Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies needed for meal preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment used for cooking.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices.
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality of dishes served.
• Assist with catering events as needed, providing exceptional service to guests.

• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation (we'll train the right person).
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
• Experience in managing kitchen operations, including inventory control and staff training is preferred.
• A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
• Reliable, fast-working team player.
• Can handle a busy kitchen and keep a positive attitude.
• Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Dependable and detail-focused—consistency is key!

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
