Cook- Part Time

Under the general direction of the Culinary Director, primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the overall functioning of the Dietary department.

Essential functions/Job duties:

• Ensure the highest quality of customer service is available to our residents.
• Engage in prospective resident visits.
• Perform welcome orientation with new residents.
• Setting up work stations with necessary cooking ingredients and equipment.
• Cook food according to the kitchen menu and directions from Culinary Director.
• Ensure food and other kitchen items are stored properly and as per state regulations.
• Assist in serving food to the residents in the dining hall/ room.
• Assists the culinary director with proper orientation and training of new staff.
• Setting up work station with all needed ingredients and cooking equipments
• Responsible for maintaining proper /hygienic food handling techniques and the overall sanitation requirements of a food service area and the personnel.
• Responsible for walking through the dining room during meals communicating with residents regarding satisfaction.
• Responsible for setting up food and supplies for special events in coordination with the Culinary Director.
• Responsible for maintaining sanitary conditions in dining room areas and kitchen.
• Responsible for overseeing the proper use of all dietary equipment.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
