La Esquina Mexican Grill in Thousand Oaks, CA is looking for a skilled and passionate Cook to join our kitchen team! Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook authentic Mexican menu items to order with consistency and quality
• Follow recipes, portioning guidelines, and food presentation standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift
• Monitor food inventory, freshness, and proper storage procedures
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth, efficient service during peak hours
• Adhere to all food safety and health code regulations
• Assist with prep work including chopping, marinating, and sauce preparation

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a cook, line cook, or prep cook required
• Familiarity with Mexican cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Food Handler's Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
