Cook/Cashier

Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cook/Cashier to join our dynamic food service team. This role combines food preparation, customer service, and cashiering responsibilities in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Duties

• Prepare and assemble menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
• Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, and provide correct change
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, kitchen equipment, and dining areas
• Assist with upselling menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
• Manage time effectively during peak hours to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards
• Support team members in maintaining a welcoming environment for all guests

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience in food preparation or kitchen work is advantageous but not mandatory
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with excellent time management skills

Pay: $16.60-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
