Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen operations and meal preparation, demonstrating a commitment to food safety and quality. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering delicious meals that meet our high standards and satisfy our residents needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
• Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Ensure all food preparation areas are clean, organized, and adhere to food safety standards.
• Help with inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
• Collaborate with care staff to ensure efficient meal service during peak times.
• Maintain equipment and utensils in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly.
• Participate in trainings and follow food safety protocols.

Experience

• Previous experience in a care home kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred, with a focus on meal preparation and cooking.
• Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety regulations is essential.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A passion for cooking and creating high-quality dishes that delight customers is highly desirable.

Hours will be on a two week Rota basis
