Cook – The Griffin Whetstone

The Griffin Whetstone is looking for a reliable and passionate Cook to join our kitchen team.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in preparing fresh, quality food and can work confidently in a busy pub environment. You’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes to a consistently high standard while maintaining excellent food hygiene and kitchen standards.

The Role

• Preparing and cooking food to a high standard
• Following recipes, portion controls and presentation standards
• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and compliant with food hygiene regulations
• Working efficiently during busy service periods
• Managing multiple orders while maintaining quality and consistency
• Working as part of a friendly and supportive kitchen team
• Helping with food preparation, stock rotation and general kitchen duties

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience working in a pub, restaurant or commercial kitchen is preferred
• Able to work well under pressure during busy services
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Good attention to detail
• Passionate about food and maintaining high standards
• Comfortable working independently
• Food hygiene knowledge is an advantage
