Cook/Chef

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook/Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. The ideal applicant will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen operations, with a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
• Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
• Assist in menu planning and develop new ideas to enhance our offerings
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing, sanitising, and storing utensils and equipment
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure ingredients are fresh and available
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
• Serve food efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and customer service
• Follow health and safety protocols at all times, including proper handling of food allergens and dietary restrictions

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices
• Culinary experience with the ability to prepare a variety of dishes confidently
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
• Previous experience in serving or front-of-house roles is advantageous but not essential
