Chef / Kitchen Team Member – Full Time
Homeleigh Garden Centre, Crediton

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic kitchen team member to join our extremely popular restaurant located within Homeleigh Crediton Garden Centre, on the outskirts of Crediton. As our restaurant continues to grow, we are looking to add a reliable and motivated individual to our friendly team.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of both hot and cold meals to a high standard
• Assisting with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Monitoring food wastage and maintaining kitchen margins
• Supporting with stock control and ordering ingredients
• Ensuring all food hygiene and health & safety regulations are followed
• Maintaining consistently high standards of food quality and presentation

About You

• Previous kitchen experience is essential
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, especially during busy service periods
• Able to work efficiently as part of a team
• Good organisation and attention to detail
• Formal catering qualifications are not required, but would be beneficial

The Role

• Full-time position
• Typically worked across 5 days per week
• Weekend shifts may be required
• We aim to offer flexibility where possible to suit individual needs, and team members are expected to support each other with shift cover when required

Pay: From £13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
