Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen operations and food safety, with a flair for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ensuring high standards of culinary excellence, and contributing to the overall success of our restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
• Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained in the kitchen at all times.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
• Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and place orders as necessary to maintain stock.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and food safety practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss menu changes, customer feedback, and operational improvements.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen operations.
• Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines, with a passion for culinary arts.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• A culinary qualification or relevant training is desirable but not essential.
