Cook/Commis

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Commis / Cook to join our growing kitchen team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are eager to develop your culinary skills, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to company recipes and standards.
• Assist with daily food preparation (mise en place) and kitchen operations.
• Ensure food is presented consistently and meets quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards at all times.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food products (FIFO).
• Minimise food wastage and use ingredients responsibly.
• Maintain a clean and organised workstation throughout each shift.
• Support stock-taking and inventory control when required.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
• Follow all company policies, kitchen procedures, and health & safety regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Commis, Cook, or in a similar kitchen role is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
