Cook/Direct Support Professional

Do you love to cook and want to make a difference in the lives of others while having a part-time position? This may be the position for you!

The Cook/Direct Care staff will prepare and serve food in a small Canteen setting, order supplies, use a cash register and provide excellent customer service. The Cook/Direct Care staff will also provide training and supervision to Vocational Program participants who have an interest in developing work skills in the Food Service area.

SCHEDULE: (Full-Time) Monday-Friday (7:30 AM - 3 PM)

General Duties:

• will comply with all agency policies and procedures
• will advocate for the health & wellbeing of all program consumers
• will report any unsafe or hazardous condition immediately
• will report any suspected neglect or abuse immediately
• will complete all required staff training hours
• will work hours as stated on job description
• will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Program Specific Duties:

• will prepare food for sale in the Courthouse Canteen
• will serve customers in the Courthouse Canteen
• will restock shelves and racks
• will be responsible for kitchen clean up
• will assume the responsibility of the other Food Service Worker in his/her absence
• will provide good customer service
• will inventory and order supplies
