Cook/ Floater

· Prepare simple meals for children 0-12 years of age

· Follow food program rules and regulation

· Basic understanding of kitchen sanitation and safe food handling

· Willingness to work with children 0-12 years of age and be energetic and compassionate.

· Encourage children’s emotional, social, and physical development, and positive self-concept.

· Be kind, caring and attentive to the needs of the children

· Keep clean kitchen and organized

· Must be willing to attended health and safety trainings as well as complete professional development trainings

· Ability to work cooperatively with others

· Flexible

Required

• Must be 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI Background check

Preferred

· 1 year experience in a kitchen setting. Preferably experience cooking in a daycare setting with Food Program experience. (Willing to take someone without experience to train.)

· Serv Safe

· First Aid/ CPR training

Physical Requirements

· Must be able to lift 30–40 lbs.

· Prolonged periods of standing and frequent bending.

• Must be able to kneel, stoop, bend, twist, and crawl

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
