About Flour Power Studios

Flour Power Studios is a hands-on cooking studio where kids, teens, and adults come together to cook, bake, and have fun. Our Falls River studio hosts cooking camps, classes, birthday parties, and private events year-round. We're looking for enthusiastic, reliable people who love food and love teaching others to join our team.

Position Summary

The Cooking Studio Instructor leads hands-on cooking experiences for campers, students, and party guests of all ages. This role is equal parts teacher, host, and kitchen team member — you'll guide guests through recipes, keep the energy fun and positive, and help keep the studio running smoothly behind the scenes. This is a great fit for someone who loves cooking, enjoys being in front of a group, and doesn't mind rolling up their sleeves to keep the kitchen clean and organized.

What You'll Do

Teaching & Hosting

  • Instruct cooking camps, classes, birthday parties, and private events for kids, adults, or mixed groups
  • Learn and confidently teach Flour Power recipes
  • Guide guests through each recipe step-by-step, giving them plenty of hands-on cooking time
  • Speak and present in an engaging, teacher-style way that keeps groups of all ages interested and having fun
  • Interact positively with kids and parents, creating a welcoming and encouraging environment
  • Work as part of a team alongside other instructors and studio staff

Event & Kitchen Prep

  • Set up food and ingredients ahead of each class, camp, or party
  • Perform basic food inventory updates

Cleaning & Studio Upkeep

  • Complete daily kitchen cleaning, including mopping, wiping down counters, and dishwashing
  • Take out trash and keep the studio tidy throughout the day
  • Clean bathrooms, refrigerators, and windows as part of the studio's regular upkeep routine

What We're Looking For

  • A genuine love for cooking and food
  • Comfort and confidence working with kids in a positive, patient, and productive way
  • Strong communication and presentation skills — you're comfortable speaking to a group
  • A team player who's willing to pitch in wherever needed, including cleaning
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling
  • Prior cooking or culinary experience is a plus, but not required — a love of cooking matters more than a resume

Schedule & Availability

This role offers real flexibility. Depending on your availability and the studio's needs from week to week, hours can range from as few as 2 hours per week, if you choose to be more of a one class per week type of instructor or up to 40 if you have open availability and want more hours. We're happy to work with weekday, weeknight, and weekend availability, as well as full-day or partial-day shifts. Minimum hours can be discussed and agreed upon at your interview based on what works for your schedule.

Why Join Flour Power Studios

  • Flexible scheduling that works around school, another job, or family life
  • Hands-on, creative work in a fun, upbeat environment
  • Be part of a supportive team that values teaching and connecting with the community
  • Opportunity to grow within the studio
