Cook/Kitchen Hand

Champs Grill is a fast-paced restaurant operating inside a busy multi-sport facility serving athletes, families, and tournament traffic throughout the week.

We have been building a kitchen team focused on consistency, organization, teamwork, and quality, and are looking to expand our hours to cater to breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night crowds.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, thrives in a busy environment, and wants to help build a strong operation.

What You'll Do

* Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards in a timely manner.

* Food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients.

* Follow food safety procedures and proper handling techniques at all times. Adhering to Alberta Health Services regulations and restaurant policies.

* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station throughout shifts.

* Collaborate and work efficiently with all team members to ensure smooth operation of service.

* Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.

Experience/Requirements

* Proven experience is a must in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment. You will be working as the lead cook for your shift.

* Knowledge of food handling, meal preparation, and cooking techniques.

* Familiar with all food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry.

* Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.

* Must have or obtain upon hire Food Safety certificate approved by the Government of Alberta.

Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
