KITCHEN ASSISTANT / COOK
Part-time Hours: 16-24 hours
Full-time Hours: approx 40 hours

Daytime Shifts: Typically7:30/8:00AM – 4:00/5:00PM

No Evening Shifts.

Applicants must be available to work a mixture of weekdays and weekends as part of a team rota.

Salary: Reviewed after a 12 week probabation period

JOIN OUR TEAROOM KITCHEN TEAM

We're looking for friendly, reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistants / Cooks to join the team at The Chocolate Strawberry Tearoom at Pendle Village Mill.

Our busy Tearoom serves breakfast, lunch, cakes and refreshments seven days a week, with a menu centred around traditional, freshly prepared favourites. Popular dishes include cooked breakfasts, homemade pies, fish and chips, sandwiches, toasties and daily specials.

This is a hands-on role in a busy kitchen, so we're looking for people who enjoy working as part of a team, can keep calm during busy services and take pride in preparing and serving good-quality food.

With daytime shifts and no evening working, the role offers a great opportunity for someone looking for a hospitality position with more sociable working hours.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

General responsibilities will include;

• Preparing and cooking breakfast and lunch dishes
• Plating and serving food to a consistent standard
• Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen
• Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Managing food waste and general kitchen waste
• Assisting with other kitchen duties as required

Previous experience in a café, restaurant, pub or commercial kitchen would be beneficial.
