Cook/Kitchen Hand

Couch Potato Restaurant is seeking skilled and dedicated Kitchen Hands and Cooks to join our dynamic team. As a popular establishment known for our delectable comfort food, we are committed to providing our guests with exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities:

• Assist in food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients
• Working confidently on fryer, grill & pan sections
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
• Support the kitchen team by ensuring a smooth workflow during service
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards to guarantee the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation
• Collaborate with the chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation
• Contribute to maintaining inventory levels and alerting the kitchen manager of any shortages or issues
• Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Availability to work weekend evenings is essential for this position
• Reliable transportation to and from the restaurant
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the kitchen team
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
