We are looking for an enthusiastic Cook to join our team at the New Zealand Air Force Base in Whenuapai, Auckland.

This is a Permanent Part Time position offering 20 hours per week.

You will play an important role in preparing and serving quality meals while supporting a hardworking team that keeps Defence personnel well-fed and ready for duty.

Whether you're an experienced Cook or looking to further develop your hospitality career, this is a great opportunity to gain experience in a unique environment with New Zealand's largest food and support services company.

You Will Be Responsible For

• Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to a high standard
• Assisting with menu planning and development
• Planning and catering for buffets and special functions
• Preparing meals that meet special dietary and cultural requirements
• Carrying out general kitchen duties to support daily operations
• Receiving and storing stock appropriately
• Delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment

About You

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment
• Passion for food, quality, and customer service
• Friendly, reliable, and hardworking
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Holds, or is willing to obtain, Food Safety Certificates (Unit Standards 167 & 168)
