Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Cook to prepare delicious, high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and food safety standards. The ideal candidate should have good cooking skills, knowledge of kitchen hygiene, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.

Job Description

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to approved recipes and menu requirements.
• Ensure meals are properly seasoned, cooked, portioned, and presented.
• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, measuring, and marinating as required.
• Follow instructions from the Head Chef, Sous Chef, or kitchen supervisor.
• Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, freshness, and presentation.
• Monitor cooking times and ensure meals are ready for service according to schedule.
• Store food ingredients properly and ensure appropriate labelling and temperature control.
• Monitor ingredient usage and report low stock levels or shortages to the supervisor.
• Minimize food waste and use kitchen supplies responsibly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, workstations, utensils, and equipment.
• Comply with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is used correctly and report faults when necessary.
• Assist with receiving and inspecting food supplies to ensure quality and freshness.
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth food preparation and service.
• Assist in preparing special meals, bulk orders, and meals for events when required.

Pay: ₦100,000.00 per month
