Doolittles Woodfire Grill in Fargo is looking for Cooks take ownership of their position and who help create a kitchen that is organized, consistent, efficient, and ready to deliver the quality our guests expect.

This is more than a cook position. You are a leader, a problem-solver, and an important part of setting the tone in the kitchen each day.

Our Objective

The objective of the Heart of House team is to create coherence, consistency, and capacity within our kitchen operation.

You’ll help ensure that recipes are executed accurately and on time, priorities are clear, food quality and safety standards are maintained, and the team is working together toward the same goal: setting the restaurant up for a successful service.

What You'll Do

• Lead your station with confidence, positivity, and strong leadership skills
• Organize priorities and ensure the team has the tools and direction needed to succeed
• Maintain consistency in recipes, portions, presentation, quality, and food safety
• Help build capacity within the team by lending a helping hand to those around you
• Create coherence and stability with the needs of the kitchen's upcoming service
• Keep work areas organized and efficient
• Monitor inventory and communicate shortages or changing needs to the appropriate leadership
• Jump in and work alongside other team members when needed
• Balance multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and quality
• Communicate clearly with kitchen leadership and other team members
• Help foster a positive, respectful, and teamwork-focused kitchen culture
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Use strong multitasking skills to keep the morning moving without losing sight of the details

• Kitchen experience is a plus, but the right attitude, work ethic, and desire to lead matter just as much
