Milestone Ranch is a unique American ranch-themed family destination, and we’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and hardworking Cook / Server to join our team.

This is a varied role that combines food preparation and cooking with customer service, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working with people as much as they enjoy working with food.

You’ll play an important part in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for our guests — from preparing delicious food in the kitchen to taking orders and serving customers with a smile.

The Role

As a Cook / Server, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of dishes to our required standards, while also providing friendly and efficient service to our guests.

You’ll work as part of a busy team, helping to ensure the kitchen and dining areas run smoothly, particularly during busy periods and events.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing ingredients and cooking meals in line with established recipes and quality standards
• Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen and food preparation area
• Following food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times
• Supporting food preparation for individual orders as well as larger events and catering functions
• Working closely with the team to ensure food is prepared and served promptly
• Monitoring stock levels, organising storage areas and assisting with stock control
• Greeting guests and providing friendly, professional customer service
• Taking customer orders and answering questions about the menu
• Serving food and drinks to guests
• Clearing and cleaning tables and dining areas
• Operating the till and handling customer payments accurately
• Helping to maintain a welcoming, positive and enjoyable environment for our guests

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Friendly, approachable and confident when dealing with customers
• Passionate about food and interested in developing their culinary skills
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work well as part of a team
• Organised and able to remain calm and efficient in a busy environment
• Comfortable working across both kitchen and customer-facing duties
• Committed to maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness and hygiene
• A good communicator with a positive attitude
• Flexible and willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays where required

Experience & Skills

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, hospitality, restaurants or catering is preferred but not essential for the right candidate.

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is desirable, and full training will be provided where required.

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16.0 per week
