Mission:

Support the manufacturing plant by performing all work requiring the use of CMM or Light Scan machine. This may include writing CMM programs, First Piece or PreProduction sample verification, participating in problem solving activities, supporting Lean initiatives and Continuous Improvement projects.

Responsibilities:

Primary Job Function:

• Perform dimensional layout on prototype, pre-production and production parts. Supporting new program launch build events, including prioritization, scheduling and execution of CMM requests.
• Develop CMM programs for dimensional verification of production parts, gauges, or components.
• Conduct annual dimensional layouts on all production parts as required by customer specific requirements.
• Provide analysis of layout and/or capability data via dimensional reports and summaries.
• Assist team members with capability and gauge R&R studies.
• Assist with gauge design and verification upon arrival.
• Calibration of check fixtures and metrology measuring equipment as required by calibration schedule and procedure. Develop CMM programs as necessary.
• Maintain metrology measurement equipment list, status and calibration schedule.
• Maintain cleanliness of CMM area and Metrology lab and preventative maintenance schedule for all lab equipment.
• Assist in Internal Audits activities.
• Assist in Supplier Management that includes supplier performance monitoring and claims in SAP.

What we are looking for:

• 2 year college degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• Previous CMM experience
• CMM Programming
• Laser Scanning experience
• Knowledge in the application of Statistical
• Blue Print Reading
• This position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while sitting, standing, or walking and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds on a frequent basis.
• Work may require individual to enter plant areas where performance factors such as: heat, humidity, noise, lifting of materials and working around equipment will be encountered.
