Coordinator, Accounting

The Coordinator, Accounting will support core accounting activities for a growing organization. This role will conduct general accounting activities related to preparing monthly financial statements, preparing journal entries, and reconciling bank/credit card statements.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Operate safely and appropriately in all AgCertain situations and environments

• Prepare and post transactions for the corporate chart of accounts

• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends

• Maintain and balance the general ledger

• Receive and enter vendor bills

• Assist with the preparation of monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheets

• Assist in month inventory reconciliation and periodically validate inventory across multi-site locations

• Comply with federal, state, and local SAFS Rules (Statement of Financial Accounting Standards) by studying and enforcing adherence to policies and procedures, filing reports and advising management on needed action

• Participate in all company trainings

• Perform all other duties as assigned

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field

• One to three (1-3) years experience in accounting or manufacturing industry experience preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Quickbooks, and Microsoft Dynamics (Business Central) preferred

• Physical abilities to include the ability to lift 50 lbs (23 Kg), able to climb several flights of stairs and not affected by heights

• Ability to analyze data and contribute to strategic decision-making

• Excellent communication, organizational, management, and computer skills

• Ability to interact professionally and effectively with internal and external customers

• Abide by Good Manufacturing Practices in all areas of the facility
