Covering more than 10,000 square kilometres and serving a community of over 50,000 residents, Clarence Valley Council is one of the largest and most diverse regional councils in coastal NSW. From rural properties and villages through to Grafton, Yamba and Maclean, the Building Services team delivers a broad range of certification and assessment work across an extensive local government area.

Following a recent organisational restructure, this is an exciting opportunity to lead an established technical team while helping embed a more streamlined service model that allows Building Services to focus on certification, assessment and customer service.

While you'll remain technically involved where required, your primary focus will be supporting the team, driving consistency in decision-making, improving customer service and continuing to strengthen operational practices.

Building Services is currently transitioning to a new operating model, with a dedicated Compliance team being established separately. This will allow the successful candidate to focus on leading the Building Services team while supporting the implementation of an improved organisational structure.
