Coordinator Facility Maintenance

Lead and manage the day-to-day coordination of planned and reactive maintenance and operational activities across more than 400 buildings in Council.

In conjunction with the Strategic Asset Management team is to assist in the Development of a long-term strategic plan for the lifecycle management of Council-owned facilities, assets, and infrastructure.

• Salary $133,295+ Superannuation
• Based at the Monash Operations Centre, Notting Hill

This strategically important role sits within the Facilities & Infrastructure Department, supporting the delivery of high-quality services to the Monash community.

About the Position

Working closely with our Strategic Asset Management team, the role will deliver on a long-term strategic plan for the lifecycle management of Council-owned facilities, assets, and infrastructure.

Through effective planning, analysis, collaboration and resource allocation, the Coordinator will optimize building maintenance, facility maintenance programs, and facility services.

Skills and Experience

• Building practitioner / civil engineering certification or equivalent qualification and or demonstrated substantial relevant experience working in the coordination of contracts and works programs related to facility maintenance
• Extensive and diverse experience in project, contract, financial and asset management
• Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders
• Experience in managing a team of people including professional development
• Experience in using current business software packages
• Excellent written communication skills in order to prepare and present comprehensive material (including well-reasoned recommendations)

Requirements

• A current Victorian driver's licence or equivalent licence
• Employee Working with Children's Check (if applicable)
• Satisfactory National Police Check; and
• Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
