We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead Council's technology operations and play a pivotal role in delivering modern, resilient and secure digital services that support our staff and community.

About the role:
Reporting to the Chief Information & Digital Officer, the IT Operations Manager is responsible for the leadership, performance and continuous improvement of Council's technology operations.

You will oversee technology infrastructure, cloud services, networking, cyber security, IT service management, end-user computing and business continuity capabilities, ensuring services remain secure, reliable and aligned with organisational priorities.

You will:

• Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of Council's technology operations, infrastructure and cloud services.
• Ensure the reliability, performance and security of enterprise technology platforms and business-critical systems.
• Lead Council's cyber security operations, including vulnerability management, security monitoring, incident response and security governance.
• Manage technology risks, audit findings and compliance obligations
• Ensure IT services are responsive, reliable and aligned with agreed service levels.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service quality and user experience.
• Manage strategic relationships with technology vendors, managed service providers and delivery partners.
• Manage strategic relationships with technology vendors, managed service providers and delivery partners.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing technology operations team.

About you:

• Degree qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in a senior IT Operations, Infrastructure or Technology Services leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of IT Service Management (ITIL) frameworks and operational best practices.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure, cloud services, networking, cyber security and service management practices.
• Experience managing vendors, contracts, service providers and technology investments.
• Strong financial, risk management and strategic planning capabilities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership skill
