Coordinator of Volunteers

Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a part-time, remote role responsible for organizing and supporting volunteers who contribute to Harmony Community’s events and initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include recruiting and onboarding volunteers, scheduling and assigning roles for programs and virtual gatherings, and providing clear guidance and resources to ensure volunteers are prepared. The coordinator will maintain regular communication with volunteers, respond to questions, and facilitate feedback to improve the volunteer experience. This role also involves collaborating with program leads to identify volunteer needs, supporting community outreach campaigns, and tracking volunteer participation and impact. The coordinator will be expected to use digital tools to manage volunteer information, coordinate timelines, and help ensure smooth and inclusive community activities.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training to effectively recruit, onboard, and support volunteers.
• Candidates should possess strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills to engage volunteers, build trust, and foster a welcoming community environment.
• Candidates should possess Community Outreach skills to help expand the network, promote programs, and connect with prospective volunteers and partners.
• Experience coordinating volunteers or managing community programs in nonprofit, social impact, or networking-focused organizations is beneficial.
• Comfort working in a remote, digital-first environment, including proficiency with collaboration tools and basic data tracking, is preferred.
• Demonstrated cultural awareness and interest in supporting Arab professionals and inclusive community-building is an advantage.
