Coordinator - Procurement

Job Summary

We are looking for a Coordinator with strong experience in procurement, subcontractor coordination, site visits, vendor management, and basic factory operations. The ideal candidate should have an engineering background, excellent communication skills, and good knowledge of the UAE market, materials, and pricing.

The candidate will be responsible for coordinating between clients, sites, vendors, subcontractors, procurement, and factory operations to ensure materials and services are arranged on time and projects run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients, site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Conduct regular site visits to understand project requirements and identify the materials and services required.
• Review BOQs, material requirements, specifications, and project requirements and coordinate procurement accordingly.
• Identify and evaluate suitable vendors from the UAE market based on quality, price, availability, and delivery timelines.
• Source, compare, negotiate, and purchase materials from approved vendors in line with company requirements.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions while following company policies.
• Prepare and coordinate material orders, purchase requests, quotations, and supplier follow-ups.
• Maintain strong and professional relationships with vendors and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Handle local purchases when required, including purchases made without a formal Purchase Order, while ensuring proper documentation and management approval.
• Coordinate with subcontractors regarding scope of work, material requirements, schedules, site requirements, and progress.
• Maintain good communication and working relationships with clients and subcontractors throughout the project.
• Follow up on supplier invoices, bills, payments, and other vendor-related documentation.
• Coordinate with the factory and understand basic production, material flow, job allocation, and operational requirements.
• Support the factory team in ensuring required materials are available as per production schedules.
• Monitor material prices and maintain good knowledge of current UAE market rates and material availability.
• Resolve procurement, delivery, vendor, and site-related issues promptly.
• Maintain proper records of suppliers, quotations, orders, deliveries, invoices, and related documents.

Requirements

• Engineering qualification – Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
• UAE experience is mandatory, preferably in fit-out, joinery, construction, or related industries.
• Proven experience in procurement and subcontractor management.
• Strong knowledge of UAE suppliers, vendors, materials, and market prices.
• Good understanding of BOQs and material requirements.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Must be comfortable with regular site visits.
• Basic knowledge of factory/production operations is required.
• Ability to manage multiple requirements and coordinate with different departments.
• Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and basic documentation.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.

Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
