Coordinator, Procurement

The Coordinator, Procurement assists with executing procurement strategies that support day-to-day operations across the organization. This role coordinates purchasing, distribution, and inventory management for multiple departments and locations, ensuring the timely and cost-effective flow of goods and services.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Operate safely and appropriately in all AgCertain situations and environments

• Collaborate with internal teams of product planning and provide insights on efficiency and cost optimization

• Ensure effective inventory levels to meet production requirements

• Monitor vendor performance, contract compliance, and supplier initiatives

• Ensure purchase orders are placed accurately and in alignment with production needs

• Monitor market pricing trends, cost drivers, and supply dynamics; make informed decisions based off these metrics

• Have a thorough understanding of and be able to apply Occupational Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices to procedures within the plant/understand how they affect the production process

• Follow all written procedures (SOPs) and work instructions that pertain to the respective area

• Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner

• Participate in all company trainings

• Perform additional duties as assigned

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Economics or related field

• One to three (1-3) years experience in sales or procurement preferred

• Physical abilities to include the ability to lift 50 lbs (23 Kg), able to climb several flights of stairs and not affected by heights

• Ability to analyze data and contribute to strategic decision-making

• Excellent communication, organizational, management, and computer skills

• Ability to interact professionally and effectively with internal and external customers

• Act with integrity, candor, excellence, curiosity, and a commitment to safety

• Abide by Good Manufacturing Practices in all areas of the facility
