Coordinator - Shipping-NL Warehouse

Job Title: Shipping Coordinator Reports To: Shipping Supervisor Job category:  Individual contributor  ☒          Management   ☐ Division: Scented & Living Solutions Department: Warehouse Location: Manitowoc, WI Description / Scope / Mission Coordinate shipping activities for specified Northern Labs customers.

Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities

• Coordinate shipment logistics and paperwork for specified customers in a fast-paced, high shipment volume via truckload, LTL, and small pack (parcel) environment.
• Monitor shipment delivery performance.
• Work closely with Sales and Customer Service staff to meet and improve levels of customer service.
• At direction of management, work closely with other departments to establish procedures and processes that ensure Northern Labs is efficiently meeting customers’ shipping requirements.
• Perform inventory cycle counts.
• Monitor finished good inventory.

MARGINAL JOB DUTIES:

• Provide back-up for other Shipping Coordinators.
• Complete other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• Report Shop Floor orders

Education / Certification / Qualifications / Experience

• High school diploma
• 2-3 years transportation or shipping experience

LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Forklift certification
• HazMat certification a plus

Specific Knowledge: (Technical/Product, Organizational and Interpersonal)

• Stand; walk; taste or smell; and use foot/feet to operate machine up to 1/3 of the

time.

• Sit; use hands to finger, handle or touch; and talk or hear 2/3 and more of the time.

• Up to 30 pounds to be lifted or force to be exerted up to 1/3 of the time.

• Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).

• Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more).

• Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors).

TOOLS/EQUIPMENT USED:

• Calculator and forklift up to 1/3 of the time.
• Phone and copier/fax/printers 1/3 to 2/3 of the time.
• Computer 2/3 and more of the time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PPE REQUIRED:

• Moderate noise
• Work near moving mechanical parts
