About The Role Coordinator (Engineering) - Balfour Beatty (@one Alliance) Location: Peterborough (Hybrid working available) Balfour Beatty play a key role as part of the Anglian Water’s one Alliance. The Alliance is a ground-breaking collaboration between Anglian Water and eight industry-leading partners: Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska and SWECO. And together, we deliver around 40% of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.

As we progress through AMP8 – our most ambitious asset management period to date – we’re delivering nature-based and sustainable infrastructure, from wetlands to urban drainage schemes, setting new benchmarks for environmental performance.

We’re looking for a Coordinator (Engineering) to join our growing team and support the successful delivery of a diverse programme of water infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, a keen interest in engineering and a desire to develop their career within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

What you'll be doing

As part of the Engineering team, you’ll play a key role in coordinating technical activities, managing project documentation and supporting communication between multiple stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Working alongside Design Managers, Engineers, Project Managers, Environmental teams and Construction colleagues, you’ll gain valuable exposure to major infrastructure projects while building your professional network across the Alliance.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support engineering teams with project coordination throughout the design and delivery lifecycle.
• Manage project documentation and ensure information is accurately maintained across project systems.
• Coordinate surveys, utility searches, site access arrangements and stakeholder requirements.
• Assist with the preparation of technical documentation, plans and project deliverables.
• Support engineers with land entry notices, mapping and GIS-related activities.
• Attend project meetings, capture actions and maintain project logs.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to help projects progress efficiently.
• Contribute to innovative ways of working, helping to improve efficiency and project outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience of working collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities.
• Good IT skills, particularly across Microsoft Office applications.
• A demonstrable interest in engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Enthusiasm to learn, develop new skills and grow professionally.

It Would Also Be Great If You Have

• Knowledge of GIS systems.
• Previous experience supporting technical or engineering teams.
