Copper Punch Operator

Workforce Extensions Footscray, our valued client is seeking a professional and quality focused Copper Punch Operator to join their growing team in Thomastown.

This exciting opportunity will be on Dayshift 7am - 3.06pm Monday - Friday. We are after a highly motivated Copper Punch Operator, to become an integral part of the team. This is a Temp to permanent opportunity for the right candidate. You will play a key role in producing high-quality fabricated components by accurately interpreting technical drawings, following work orders, and maintaining strong safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC Copper Punch machines and other manufacturing equipment
• Assist other machine operators as required to support production flow
• Read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and manufacturing specifications
• Perform routine machine maintenance, inspections, and quality checks
• Ensure products meet required tolerances and quality standards
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, safety guidelines, and quality requirements
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

Skills & Qualifications:

• Trade-qualified or experienced Sheet Metal Worker / Fabricator

• Proven experience operating and/or programming CNC Copper Punch machines or similar metalworking equipment

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

• Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Strong focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail

• Reliable, punctual, and flexible across production area
