Do you find yourself mentally correcting menus or signs? Does a misplaced comma keep you up at night? If you have a passion for words and want to help students succeed, we’d love to have you on the team!

We’re looking for friendly, eagle-eyed Copy Editors to help us polish lessons and materials for kids in school (K–12).

✨ What’s the Job?

In short: You’re the final "sanity check" before a lesson reaches a student. You’ll make sure everything is clear, consistent, and easy to understand.

What you’ll be doing:

• Polishing Lessons: Fixing typos, spelling, and grammar so the teaching is top-notch.
• Following the Guide: Using the Chicago Manual of Style (our favorite rulebook) to keep things professional.
• Checking for Flow: Making sure instructions for teachers and students actually make sense and are easy to follow.
• Staying Consistent: Ensuring that if we call something a "Quiz" on page 1, we don't call it an "Exam" on page 10.
• Teamwork: Giving helpful notes to our writers and designers to make the final product shine.

You don’t need to be a coding genius, but you do need to be a language expert.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Knows the Rules: You have a deep love for English grammar and "The Chicago Manual of Style."
• Has an Eye for Detail: You notice the tiny mistakes that others miss.
• Works Well Under Pressure: You're comfortable with deadlines and can work quickly without losing quality.
• Is Tech-Friendly: You’re happy using Google Docs, Word, and marking up PDFs.
• Is a Pro: You can pass a standard editing test to show us your skills in action.

Extra "Brownie Points" if:

• You’ve edited school books or educational materials before.
• You understand how elementary or high school classrooms work.
