Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Copywriter role based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Copywriter will craft clear, engaging, and brand-aligned copy for web pages, product descriptions, marketing campaigns, press releases, email communications, and social media. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching topics and target audiences, developing messaging that supports Droongo’s positioning, and collaborating with marketing, sales, and product teams to create persuasive content. The role also involves revising and proofreading copy for accuracy, consistency, and tone, ensuring all written materials meet quality and style guidelines. The Copywriter will help maintain a cohesive brand voice across channels and contribute ideas for new content initiatives that support business growth.

Qualifications

• Strong Writing and Proofreading skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and error-free copy.
• Experience creating Press Releases and other media-facing content that effectively communicates key messages.
• Demonstrated Communication and Marketing abilities, including understanding target audiences and persuasive messaging.
• Excellent command of English; additional language skills are an advantage.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with B2B or software/technology products is preferred.
• Proficiency with common office and content tools (e.g., word processing, collaboration platforms, basic content management systems).
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Language Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
