Copywriter

OVERVIEW

We are looking for an English and Afrikaans language maestro who can craft compelling copy to promote ideas, concepts, and briefs across multiple platforms. The ideal person will thrive in a proactive and engaging environment where fresh ideas and creative approaches are celebrated.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As the Copywriter, you’ll play a key role in producing high-quality written content across diverse formats. You’ll be responsible for creating in-store radio adverts, directing voice artists in recording sessions, and ensuring your words are brought to life with the highest standards! Beyond radio, you’ll also contribute to in-store point of sale, video scripts, social media content, internal documentation, creative conceptual agency work and other ad hoc projects.

While working alongside our awesome studio team, you’ll be responsible for:

• Create clear, engaging and informative copy / content that captures our audiences.
• Deliver engaging, creative written content across various channels and formats.
• Proofread, edit, and re-write scripts to meet Radio Retail standards.
• Direct voice artists in recording sessions to ensure pronunciation accuracy, alignment with client needs and adverts are of the highest standard.
• Guide collaborating teams on strategy, copy, and tone.
• Contribute to innovative thinking on brand marketing.
• Be a leader in industry trends and standards in order to ensure work is always fresh, world-class, and original.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Here are the skills we’re looking for:

• Matric/Grade 12.
• Qualification in Copywriting, Marketing, English, or related field.
• 3-5 years’ experience as a Copywriter.
• A strong command of the English and Afrikaans language - additional languages would be advantageous.

• An understanding of the consumer journey, and how it can be utilised in-store to leverage sales.
