Copywriter

About the Role

We're looking for a Saudi copywriter who lives and breathes the local culture — someone who can move effortlessly between polished Modern Standard Arabic and authentic Saudi dialect, and who understands what makes Saudi audiences stop scrolling, laugh, share, and act. You'll craft copy across social media, campaigns, activations, brand launches, and pitches for clients spanning government entities, real estate, retail, and lifestyle brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Write compelling Arabic copy (MSA and Saudi dialect) for social media content, ad campaigns, scripts, event materials, and brand communications
• Develop campaign concepts, taglines, brand voices, and naming in collaboration with art directors and strategists
• Adapt and transcreate English copy into Arabic that feels native — never translated
• Write culturally sharp content for key Saudi moments: National Day, Founding Day, Ramadan, Eid, seasonal events, and Vision 2030-linked initiatives
• Craft social captions, community management tone-of-voice guides, and platform-specific content (X, TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram)
• Contribute copy and narrative structure to client pitches and proposals
• Proofread and quality-check all Arabic output for grammar, tone, and cultural accuracy
• Stay on top of Saudi trends, memes, slang, and pop culture — and know when to use them and when not to

Requirements

• Saudi national with native fluency in Arabic (MSA + Saudi dialect); strong working English
• 2–4 years of copywriting experience, ideally in an agency environment
• A portfolio demonstrating range: social content, campaign work, long-form, and transcreation
• Deep understanding of Saudi culture, sensitivities, humor, and audience segments across regions (Najdi, Hijazi, Eastern Province nuances a plus)
• Familiarity with government and semi-government communication tone and Vision 2030 language
• Ability to switch registers — from playful social banter to formal institutional copy
• Comfortable working under deadline pressure across multiple accounts simultaneously
• Experience writing for social platforms and understanding of what performs on each

Nice to Have

• Scriptwriting experience for video, radio, or influencer content
• Experience with brand naming and verbal identity projects
• Basic understanding of SEO and performance copywriting
• Prior work on major Saudi giga-projects, government campaigns, or national events
