Pay Rate: Up to $77.85/hour

Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, highly organized Copywriter to create customer-facing messaging for a leading streaming entertainment platform. This role will focus on writing and refining copy that helps audiences discover and engage with original television shows and movies.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer and skilled editor with deep knowledge of TV, movies, and pop culture. You will collaborate with Marketing, Product, Design, and other cross-functional teams to develop compelling copy while maintaining a consistent voice and tone.

This role requires someone who can articulate a high-level editorial vision while also being highly attentive to the details of the copy. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing accelerated timelines and shifting priorities, communicating tradeoffs, and partnering with stakeholders and executives to support upcoming initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Write and edit customer-facing copy supporting original television shows and movies
• Develop compelling synopses and marketing copy that encourage audiences to discover and engage with content
• Create copy for email marketing and other digital customer experiences
• Help establish and maintain a consistent editorial voice and tone across customer-facing content
• Develop and execute editorial strategies in partnership with cross-functional teams
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Design, and other stakeholders to translate creative and business objectives into effective copy
• Partner with executives and key stakeholders to understand upcoming priorities and ensure messaging supports organizational goals
• Manage multiple projects and shifting deliverables while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
• Prioritize work, communicate tradeoffs, and keep projects on track in an accelerated environment
• Review and refine copy to ensure it is clear, compelling, accurate, and aligned with the intended creative vision
• Advocate for editorial direction while remaining hands-on throughout the writing and editing process
• Contribute to online and digital experiences that help customers discover entertainment content

What You Bring

• 8+ years of professional work experience
• Deep experience as a writer and editor within television, movies, entertainment, or pop culture
• Strong marketing copywriting experience; streaming service experience is a plus
• Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute editorial strategy
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product, and Design
• Experience working in fast-paced environments with accelerated timelines and changing priorities
• Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at varying levels, including executives
• Deep knowledge of and passion for television and movies
• Bachelor's degree
