Core Product Integration & Validation Engineer - CNF/VNF

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Integration & Validation Engineer to support the design, deployment, and performance validation of Nokia Custom Core Products in Cloud Native Function (CNF) and Virtual Network Function (VNF) environments. The role involves deep collaboration across design, testing, and operations teams to integrate complex software stacks like LHP, NAP, BSF, PLF, DQI, VMR, MMTEL, and ADW , ensuring they meet customer requirements and operate reliably under production-like conditions.

This position may require work during customer-defined Maintenance Windows (MWs) to minimize service disruption during integration and testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Design & Integration:
• Design CNF-based solutions for custom Nokia Core applications, supporting both vertical and horizontal integrations with related network functions.
• Integrate Nokia custom software with third-party vendor systems and ensure end-to-end service functionality.
• Validation & Testing Support:
• Provide hands-on support for Acceptance Test Plan (ATP) execution in customer environments.
• Conduct performance testing , failover simulations , and reliability runs to validate deployment readiness.
• Collaborate with QA and Ops teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues during validation cycles.
• Automation & Tooling:
• Support and enhance automated testing using ARTS and similar tools.
• Assist in integrating test automation into deployment workflows for faster validation cycles.
• Customer & Vendor Interaction:
• Work directly with customer teams and third-party vendors to manage dependencies and deliverables.
• Maintain professional communication and coordination across technical stakeholders.
• Maintenance Window (MW) Support:
• Participate in off-hour maintenance windows for integration, deployment, and validation, as scheduled by the customer.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Strong experience in designing and deploying CNF/VNF-based telecom solutions .
• Hands-on expertise in integrating Nokia core products like LHP, NAP, BSF, PLF, DQI, VMR, MMTEL, and ADW .
• Familiarity with Red Hat OpenStack and native cloud platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Proven ability to support system performance testing, failover validation, and acceptance testing in live or lab environments.
• Experience working with test automation tools (e.g., ARTS) and CI/CD concepts.
• Understanding of LTE/IMS architectures and telecom application interactions.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with cross-functional and vendor teams.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools, including ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), OpenSearch, Grafana, Prometheus, Kafka, log management, monitoring, and observability solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working on Nokia delivery projects .
• Nokia certifications in Core or Cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of network protocols, signalling, and orchestration layers.
• Exposure to working with customers in mission-critical, high-availability telecom environments.
