This is a unique opportunity to work directly with senior executives and play a leading role in the transactions that will shape the future of the business.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Investment & Group Reporting, you will lead acquisition and investment activities from opportunity assessment through to transaction execution.

This is a highly commercial role combining M&A execution, financial modelling, business valuation, investment analysis and strategic decision-making.

A key focus of the role will be building and maintaining sophisticated financial models, performing valuations and developing investment recommendations that support capital allocation and acquisition decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain advanced financial models to evaluate acquisitions, investments and strategic opportunities.
  • Perform business valuations, scenario analysis and investment appraisals.
  • Prepare business cases, investment papers and Board-level recommendations.
  • Manage external advisors across financial, legal, tax and commercial due diligence workstreams.
  • Monitor and maintain the Group's acquisition pipeline and strategic growth opportunities.
  • Partner with senior leaders to evaluate capital investments and business performance initiatives.
  • Support negotiations, transaction structuring and commercial assessments.

About You

You are an analytical and commercially minded professional with strong transaction experience and a passion for identifying value creation opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in Corporate Development, M&A, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Transaction Services or Private Equity.
  • Advanced financial modelling and valuation expertise, including DCF modelling, investment analysis and business case development.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to assess strategic opportunities.
  • Experience managing due diligence and transaction processes.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to influence decision-making through data-driven insights.

Highly Regarded

  • CA, CPA, CFA or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Experience within infrastructure, industrial, construction, waste, environmental services or related sectors.
  • Exposure to Board and Executive-level reporting.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to lead strategic acquisitions and investments.
  • Direct exposure to Executive Leadership and Board stakeholders.
  • High-impact role with genuine influence on business growth.
  • Career development within a fast-growing and dynamic organisation.
  • Competitive remuneration package.
  • Supportive and collaborative culture focused on innovation and continuous improvement.
