Corporate Payroll Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Corporate Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations and ensure seamless processing across all company divisions. In this pivotal role, you will oversee payroll systems, maintain compliance with employment and labor laws, and collaborate with HR, finance, and accounting teams to deliver accurate and timely payroll services. Your expertise will help foster a compliant, efficient, and confidential payroll environment that supports our organizational goals and employee satisfaction.

Duties

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, and other payroll software.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws related to payroll tax withholding, reporting, and remittance.
• Oversee payroll data entry, reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable related to payroll expenses, and general ledger accounting entries.
• Administer employee benefits programs and coordinate with HRIS systems for accurate recordkeeping.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information while handling payroll data entry and processing.
• Conduct audits of payroll records to ensure accuracy in hours worked, salary calculations, deductions, and benefits administration.
• Collaborate with human resources to ensure labor law compliance and support employment law updates.
• Generate detailed reports on payroll costs, tax filings, labor law compliance metrics, and audit documentation for internal review.

Experience

• Proven experience managing corporate payroll functions within a complex organization or non-profit setting.
• Extensive knowledge of payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of employment & labor law as well as payroll tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks or other financial management tools.
• Experience with HRIS platforms like PeopleSoft or Ceridian for employee data management.
• Skilled in spreadsheets and financial analysis to support payroll reconciliation and reporting tasks.
• Background in general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits within a financial software environment.
• Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail for audit readiness and compliance monitoring.

Pay: $48.00 - $49.00 per hour
