Correctional Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

The Lorain County Sheriff’s Office currently has an opening for a highly motivated Licensed Practical Nurse who desires to work in a fast paced and team-oriented work environment. Applicants must have current LPN licensure through Ohio, be a graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program and have a current CPR/AED/BLS certification. The current opening in the jail requires four-ten-hour shifts and rotating weekends, with the hours being 1:00 pm to 11:00 pm. The schedule alternates one week with four days off in a row, with the second week with two days off in a row. The position offers competitive pay with step increases, superb medical benefits, paid sick leave, vacation days, personal days and holidays as well as a defined benefit pension plan and participation in the Ohio Deferred Compensation program. The current starting wage is $32.46 per hour with competitive pay increases after the first probationary year.
